I’m retired, woodworking is my hobby, and this site is where I share what I’m learning as I go. I’m not coming at this as a master craftsman or a big workshop business. It is more a case of getting out into the garage, trying things, solving problems, and enjoying the process.
Some projects go smoothly. Some need reworking. Some teach you more from the mistakes than the bits that went right. That is part of woodworking, and that is part of what this site is about too.
Why I Started This Site
I wanted a place to share straightforward woodworking ideas, practical shop tips, and honest thoughts on tools from the point of view of someone working in a normal home garage setup.
A lot of woodworking content online looks great, but sometimes it feels like it belongs to somebody with endless space, endless money, and every tool ever made. Most of us are not working like that. So this site is built around a more down-to-earth way of doing things.
What You’ll Find Here
On this site, I share a mix of woodworking ideas, small-shop projects, tool thoughts, and tips that help make the workshop work better. Some posts are about building something useful. Others are about solving problems in the shop or working out whether a tool is actually worth having.
The main thing is that it stays practical, honest, and useful for people who enjoy woodworking and are learning as they go.
A Small Garage Shop Point of View
This site is shaped by the fact that I work in a home garage shop, not a giant professional space. So I naturally lean towards projects, ideas, and tools that make sense for a setup like that.
That means making the best use of space, being sensible with money, and finding ways to enjoy woodworking without turning it into a complicated production.
Honest Reviews and Recommendations
From time to time, I also share thoughts on tools, gear, and other products connected to woodworking. When I do, the aim is to keep it honest. If something seems useful, I’ll say so. If it feels overhyped, awkward, or not worth the money, I’ll say that too.
Any recommendations on this site are based on what looks genuinely useful for this kind of workshop and way of working.
Thanks for Stopping By
If you enjoy woodworking, like figuring things out as you go, and prefer a real-world garage-shop approach, you’ll probably feel at home here. Have a look around, explore the projects, and see what is useful to you.
